I didn’t work the first 3 months of the year because we only have one car and my wife had a job so I just stayed home with our son. I got a job around the middle of March because we wanted to try for another child. He’s due Feb 15th! Anyways, this is the most I’ve ever made YTD and I didn’t even clear 30k. I’m managing to pay the bills and keep food on the table (we get 130$ a month in foodstamps and that’s one grocery trip if that) but it’s hard. I’ve only been able to save about 800$ total this year. I got laid off early October but luckily I found another job( and better) relatively quickly. How do I find these jobs where people my age are making 100k+?? I tried moving up to Asst supervisor at my current job and didn’t even get a response to my resume, let alone an interview. I’m just tired of this. I didn’t miss a single day or show up late at either job. Everybody says I’ll catch a break eventually but it doesn’t feel like it. [link] [comments] |
